Bluetongue

Nature:

Bluetongue is a febrile disease of sheep causing inflammation of mucosae and of the coronary bands, severe loss of condition, and a break in the fleece. Mortality may be as high as 30%. Because of the persistence of the causative virus, the disease seems to be virtually impossible to eradicate.
