Programmed learning

Template:
A programmed textbook, in the form of hard copy or as computer software, may be linear, branching or combined according to how the student progresses through the material. The organization of programmed texts is characterized by procedural directions as the student advances and by text questions which must be answered correctly before further work can be done. The sequence may allow for skipping repeat or additional instructional material if a point has been mastered and the student thus 'branches' to the next point or lesson.
