Music festival

Template:
Musical concerts held over a limited period (several days to several months) and in a limited geographical area (from one center up to an entire region, e.g. Flanders) may be unified by composer, or by similar genre, period, style, instruments or themes, or they may be unified by intentional diversity and universality. Such music festivals celebrate music; its composers, arrangers, orchestras, conductors, virtuosos, soloists, choruses, and other performing artists. They also celebrate the occasion of making music and for reasons of all this exuberance their tickets are rapidly sold out. Proliferation of music festivals to encourage tourism, however, does not necessarily advance the presence of high quality musicianship in any society, particularly when well-known foreign artists are exploited to increase attendance and local musicians, both composers and performers, are neglected.
