Sacrament

Template:
In Christian religions, a sacrament is a religious rite which, according to church teachings, endows a person with a supernatural or spiritual power called the 'divine grace'. There are seven sacrament, adopted by the Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox churches. Some Protestant churches recognize only two or three of them, namely baptism, Eucharist and matrimony. Other churches see these rites as symbolic acts rather than as sacraments. Generally speaking, sacraments are viewed as a means of maintaining and strengthening Christian religious faith.
