Audiocartridge

An audiocartridge is an audiotape or sound cartridge permanently enclosed in a container with a single reel. The audio cartridge ends are joined together, forming an endless loop that plays continuously. Such devices are used to continuously replay background or piped-in music in factories, reception areas and offices, or in telephone call answering or holding systems. For most listeners, this is but another example of cluttered space whichcould have been left peacefully quiet.
