Conference participants who openly recognize, accept and encourage the contributions of others. They indicate warmth and solidarity in their attitude to the group and in various ways, indicate understanding and acceptance of other points of view, ideas and suggestions.
[Advantages] Tends to enable the discussion process by encouraging participation by all members of the group.
[Disadvantages] Can appear to be and in fact be rather insincere and obsequious; the group may distrust them.
