Bricksigner type

Other Names:
Recognition seekers
Template:
Conference participants who wish that their particular domain of insight and expertise be properly recognized and distinguished like those who would sign the bricks which can be used for building a cathedral. They struggle to avoid being placed in an "inferior" position and tend to spend time reporting on personal achievements.
[Advantages] They tend to put a lot of care into the shaping, presentation, and preservation of their insight -their "brick". This can lead to high quality material for building a consensus. Thus they are useful with the balancing synergistic force of builder types.
[Disadvantages] The care they put in their own presentations tends to limit their potential to let their insight go, and to limit their awareness of other complementary insights. Unwillingness to allow synergy often results in conference reports which are a collection of uncoordinated papers which lie like a pile of beautifully constructed bricks that have not been designed for the same building.
