Conferences made up of representation from the "minority interest" groups which tend to be marginal, single-issue, and disestablishment. Concern is with the relatively non-powerful subgroups within the population.
[Advantages] High risk, high potential, conferencing is possible with the maximum chance of transformative eventfulness. Grassroots awareness of injustice. Rights and special group interests lends fuel to the creative process. High tension deliberations.
[Disadvantages] Relatively non-powerful. Prone to fragmentation rather than integration of all the single-issue perspectives into common action, it often takes the identification of a common enemy to justify the high tension and brittle integrative alliances between the different minority groups.
