Chalkboard

Other Names:
Blackboard
Whiteboard
Template:
A surface that is written and drawn upon with chalk or markers used during presentations and discussions to temporarily record and display diagrams, models, lists and texts. Generally black or green and used with various colours of chalk or marker. Also used to display messages and even to allow inter-participant dialogues to take place.
[Advantages] Failproof familiar simplicity. Low cost, and available to participants at any level of training or experience.
[Disadvantages] Needs to be erased frequently to accommodate new data. Sometimes hard to read. Markers tend to dry out extremely quickly especially when waved about without being capped during presentations or discussions.
