Subversion of collective bargaining

Claim
Over the past decades, corporations have learnt precisely how to turn the collective bargaining process, and the strikes, to their advantage. Although the powerful unions gain impressive wage increases, the powerful corporations gain an excuse for impressive price increases. These are usually more than proportional to the increase in wages. As a consequence unorganized workers and those in marginal industries, pensioners, and dependents lose.
