Anger

Description:
The individual is not only afflicted by anger but clings to this anger with fierce resentment which refuses to forgive. One may become so obsessed with the person by whom one has been wronged that the thoughts are totally focused on the situation, possibly giving rise to ill health and even hallucinations. The advice is to direct anger at one's own faults and on how one has wronged other people rather than at the faults of others.
Context:
One of the eight logismos of Evagrius Ponticus, which are all ways of choosing to see from a false perspective, of choosing the bad or unreal rather than the good, reality.<
