Wrong view

Description:
In Hinayana Buddhism, wrong view is; the means by which associated states see wrongly; seeing wrongly itself; or seeing wrongly. Its characteristic is unwise interpretation or conviction, its function preassumption or perversion, it is manifest as wrong interpretation or conviction. Its proximate cause is desire not to see the noble ones (arahants). This is the most reprehensible of all faults.
Context:
One of the formations aggregate (mental coefficients) of Hinayana Buddhism, being listed among the constant states which appear in their true nature, and as unprofitable secondary (sometimes present in any unprofitable or unprofitable-resultant consciousness).<
