Malleability of mental body

Description:
This refers to the malleability or pliancy of the three aggregates of feeling, perception and formation or mental activities. The characteristic is suppressing or quieting rigidity of the mental body, the function is to crush its stiffening. It is manifest as non-resistance. Mental factors are the proximate cause and it is the opponent of defilements causing stiffness in the mental body. Malleability of mental body and malleability of consciousness are considered together.
Context:
One of the formations aggregate (mental coefficients) of Hinayana Buddhism, being listed among the constant states which appear in their true nature, and as profitable primary (always present in any profitable or profitable-resultant consciousness).<
