Al-Mughni

Description:
The believer is aware of Allah as the enricher. He decides who shall be rich and who poor - He may make the poor rich or the rich poor; this is because the world is a testing ground. Will riches make one arrogant ? Will poverty tempt to doubt and complaint ? Riches should be accompanied by thankfulness and generosity, knowing they are not one's own. Poverty should be marked by hard work to better one's situation even though one does not succeed. The greatest riches are not material goods, but knowledge and faith. These may be spent without decrease and are not devalued with time - they stay with us beyond the grave.
Context:
A mode of mystical awareness in the Sufi tradition associated with the eighty-ninth of the ninety-nine names of Allah.<
