Conscious groups

Description:
Under circumstances when a group of people acts together corporately - as for, example, a football team or a dance troupe - then a [group soul] may emerge, such that there is a collective and simultaneous awareness of the pattern of interactions among the members. Without central coordination or explicit direction, the group acts appropriately with an awareness of itself and with internal, integrated, self-regulating response. The collective mind can thus be said to exist independently of individual members of the group and to dominate their behaviour. Another definition refers to psychic groups, where individuals can draw on the others telepathically.
