Description:
This is the awareness is of the need to purify the elements of the practitioner's inner and outer world. In meditation, the ego is identified with the nature of a deity, verbalization with a mantram, and one's own locality with the corresponding pure realm of the god. It is an awakened state, yet one under guided initiation with prescribed ritual, chanted prayers and gift-offerings to the divinity and the teacher.Context:
