Christ consciousness

Description:
The presence of Christ within a person transforms that person such that he becomes a new creation. S E Fittipaldi describes how this is realized in different ways in different people, manifesting as: an empty (or un-bound) mind; a forgiving mind, stretching beyond the limits of what is normally accepted; a loving mind; and a dying-rising awareness of life-in-death and death-in-life. Christian consciousness is Christ consciousness, it is identifying with Christ that the person becomes human so that the process of Christification is that of humanization. This is the core of Christian mystical tradition.
Christ consciousness is comparable to the emptiness sought through Buddhist meditation. It is quoted in sayings of Jesus as arising when the lower vehicle of the senses is caste off, the emotions raised and united with reason, when two are one, the external pure so as to be united with the internal nature, male and female sex transcended, then the individual is one in Christ and attains Christ consciousness.
François Fénelon reminds us that no-one can gain victory over sin and be brought into union with God except through Christ. Every period of progress is with Christ as the way, life is derived from God through Him and for Him. The most advanced on the way are the most possessed with the thoughts and the presence of Christ.
