Soteriocentrism

Description:
Although the concept of salvation carries with it the idea of being saved, salvation itself has the primary meaning of health and wholeness and only secondarily of being saved from something (eg from ill-health, fragmentation). It has been asserted that the primary meaning carries great significance and that there is a need for everyone, Christians and non-Christians alike, to respond by a basic orientation to this wholeness and wellbeing for an authentic human life. This is soteriocentrism, centering one's life on the search for a whole, authentic, human life.
