Nihilism

Description:
Strictly this term implies the philosophy that nothing exists or that, if it does exist, nothing can be known about it. Nevertheless, it has come to be used to describe any theory which implies undermining of the truth, denial of the possibility of metaphysics or failure to agree to accepted moral standards or convictions. It was used in this sense by Nietzsche, who stated that for radically new moral notions to be set up the old, traditional ones must be destroyed.
