Journeying within transcendence - from secular to sacred

Description:
Just as Jerusalem represents the sacred and the profane, one is not whole until one comes to experience the opposites within one's self and to accept them, the polarities preserving their separateness in their unity. Then the whole of life can be embraced and not be polarized in one part. The task is to continue in practice of spiritual disciplines while awaiting the message from the deeper self. Then one becomes in one's self a temple of prayer.
Context:
The fourth section of St John's Gospel, Chapter II 12 to III 1, is related to a stage in the spiritual journey of the individual.<
