Human Development

Habit

Description:
The dulling of perception inherent in habitual activity may be considered a hindrance to development in that it implies lack of consciousness and attention. Even sudden and inhabitual behaviour triggered, for example, by conversion or being "born again", can with time become habitual; or it may in time be erased and the old habits recur. Nevertheless, replacing bad habits with good habits may be the first step to replacing all spiritual habit with full attention and conscious action.
