Breathing therapy

Description:
Breathing is used as a means for opening sensory consciousness throughout the organism. Awareness of the breathing process as a sensation is used by the person to re-establish contact with his physical organism. Since the sensory life of the organism is the basic building block of all forms of experience, extension of such awareness immediately relates to all feelings, images, movements and thoughts. Breathing is thus used to reclaim and expand the sensory life of the self by combining certain breathing techniques with subtle motions to cultivate perception. The technique lends itself to self-exploration by concentration in an introverted attitude upon oneself.
