Fostering a sense of communal selfhood to allow each man to re-image his role and position as a community resident. Symbols are used to augment community consciousness, and thus the individual's positive self-image is reinforced.

An integral part of creating sociological man through societal re-education and re-motivation.

Tactics include: structured responsibility to provide care constructs and enable participation in community structures; consensus development to provide general agreement and support on objectives and methods within the community; generated fellowhood to provide the elasticity and flexibility for participation in the community struggle; and community mythology to articulate the history, vision, and uniqueness of the community.
