Providing biosystematic consultation

The BioNET International Consultative Group provides biosystematic support for developing country programmes designed in accordance with Agenda 21 and the Biodiversity Convention of UNCED. It does this by mobilizing and pooling the world's resources and expertise in biosystematics of invertebrates and microorganisms in order to establish and sustain capabilities in developing country sub-regions to support national programmes for sustainable agricultural development and conservation and wise use of the environment and biodiversity through interlinked sub-regional Technical Cooperation Networks, functioning as LOOPS of BioNET-International.
