80 examples of energy efficient technology for the industrial sector which were commercially available in Europe in 1992, and a data base on energy efficiency are provided in The United Nations Economic Commission for Europe publication Energy Efficiency in European Industry. The publication Energy Efficiency 2000 Project: East-West Energy Efficiency: policies and programmes, technologies and who's who provides twenty technology profiles and a list of nominated manufacturers and suppliers represented at the Energy Efficiency 2000 Trade Fair, representing areas of production efficiency and management of heat distribution in buildings, household consumption, transport, and sources of renewable energy. A Who's Who covering 5000 organizations in the field lists the experts, energy managers, businessmen, bankers and government officials engaged in trade cooperation and the fields of energy-efficient and environmentally sound technologies.
