Exchanging information to control transboundary air pollution

Implementation

The Convention on Long-range Transboundary Air Pollution aims to (1) protect man and the environment against air pollution and (2) endeavour to limit and, as far as possible, gradually reduce and prevent air pollution, including long-range transboundary air pollution by means of exchanges of information, consultation, research and monitoring, policies and strategies to be developed without undue delay which will serve as a means of combating the discharge of air pollutants.
