Developing electronic interactive learning

  • Extending training using the Internet

Implementation

Sponsored by the Economic Development Institute of the World Bank, the World Links for Development (WorLD) programme links students and teachers in secondary schools in developing countries with students and teachers in industrialized countries for collaborative research, teaching and learning programmes via the Internet.

Internet operation Netdays was organized throughout the European Union annually since 1997, enabling participants to devise original projects, communicate between them and make them known internationally. More than 35,000 organizations, including schools, vocational training centres, cultural organizations and children's hospitals took part in 1998.
