  • Improving welfare services for the blind
  • Providing welfare services for the blind
  • Assisting visually handicapped

Implementation

The Braille League of Belgium has opened a Museum of Birds to give blind people a better idea of what birds look and sound like. The 31 species on display are sculpted from wood and placed in five miniature habitats: a garden, a wood, a cliff, open plain and near water. Visitors receive a cassette with commentary about the birds displayed, together with their sounds.
