Applying comprehensive thinking

  • Using integrative thinking

Description

An approach to thinking about the problem condition of humanity that proceeds from the whole to the particular, and from considerations of how to think about the larger comprehensible whole system to how such whole systems' thinking may be applied to local and particular aspects of the system. Undue emphasis on locally unique aspects of the system, or ways of organizing individual local experience, may obscure the operation of the larger universal patterns, towards which a comprehensive orientation is required in order to derive maximum advantage.
