Sexual violence

An NGO report on Peru listed prevalent sexual violence against adult women as marital rape; sexual assault by both acquaintances and stranger; sexual assault and forced sex in the workplace; and rape and abuse of women in prison and in the emergency zones committed by the military and insurgents involved in armed conflict; under sexual violence against juveniles it referred to incest and incest rape. Only 10 to 30 percent of sexual assualts were ever reported.
