Road hazards

Within national road transportation systems, different sections have different characteristics and effects with respect to safety, speed and economy in the movement of people and goods. Uncorrected high-risk locations continue to be the scene of accidents, injuries and deaths.

In many parts of Eastern Europe there is no street lighting even in the cities. The ensuing darkness endangers the lives of pedestrians and cyclists.
