Inadequate training in decision-making

  • Lack of decision-making experience

Nature

Today's society has inadequate training structures for making decisions. When faced with a great proliferation and variety of possibilities, intangible as well as tangible, many people do not have the skills to make an intelligent choice. The emerging generation is faced with "overchoice", where the advantages of diversity are cancelled by the complexity of choice. Being confronted with the need to make increasingly rapid decisions, these are frequently made on trivial criteria, often by default.
