Endowing inanimate objects with human qualities

A Polish monitor of television language took issue with a car manufacturer's description of its vehicle as "intelligent with a strong personality". That amounted to endowing an inanimate object with human qualities and was reprehensible in the interests of the dignity of the mother tongue.
