Difficulty of youth transition from school to work

In many cases, and notably in the USA, the schooling received does not adequately prepare young people for work. Many are inept at finding and holding a job. They receive little guidance on how to move into a career that can support a family. Often their reading, writing, match and communication skills are largely inadequate for the demands of quality employers.
