Vimukti (Buddhism)

Having realized the [four noble truths]

and eliminated the [asrava]

(the three cankers of desiring, changing and ignorance), all illusions and passions disappear or are "blown out" - [nirvana]

- in a state of [vimukti]

- liberation from [samsara]

(the cycle of birth and death).
