Transcendent guru (ICA)

Description

This is experienced as becoming the role one has been playing; when the practical techniques of living one's life are so much one's second nature that one is free to consider the style, the artfulness with which one will live. It may be compared to a dancer or a musician who has so mastered the techniques of his craft that he is free to create movement and music expressing himself in a way simply impossible previously.

Context

In the ICA New Religious Mode in the arena of being the presence of transcendence (the life of chastity) the first formal aspect is radical identification with images of profound living, in which a person interiorizes the qualities of spiritual role models. At the third phenomenological level, this occurs when his concern about existence expands indefinitely, such that the object of his care cannot be reduced to any one thing but is all of existence.
