Terrifying acceptance (ICA)

Description

This is experienced as grasping the reality of the word in one's own life; when one accepts one's acceptance and opens one's whole life in order to live it. In the movie "Little Big Man", the main character realizes that both the white man and the Indians are broken and failed human beings; and yet he decides to embrace them as part of his world and life.

Context

In the ICA New Religious Mode in the arena of articulating the word about life (the life of knowing) the third formal aspect is one's experience of contentless transformation or the greatness of the word. At the second phenomenological level, this occurs when one is somehow stripped of one's illusions and must decide how to relate to one's new universe.
