Telepathic consciousness

, in that the telepath appears so different as to be hardly human, this type of consciousness is postulated as feeding vicariously on other people's innermost thoughts while at the same time the individual's own mind appears to diminish. Paradoxically, this ability cuts him off emotionally from others. In non-fictitious terms, that part of the self which intrudes on another's privacy diminishes the likelihood of the individual giving and receiving love.
