Description
The second "quarter" or condition of the self or [Atman]
according to the Mandukya Upanishad, enjoying subtle objects (remembered impressions of the waking state) through the organs of sense, the motor organs, the pranas and the aspects of mind; its field the dreaming (inwardly cognitive) state - [swapna]
. Pictures and ideas arise in the mind different from but originating in the waking state and transformed from there. It is associated with the syllable "U" of the mystic word "AUM".
