Scorching avatar (ICA)

Description

This is experienced when the person whose life one is seeking to emulate calls one's decisions and actions into question and one realizes one must pay the price of one's decisions. It occurs when one asks one's self what one's hero would have done in this situation, and finds one's own life falling short. In the movie "High Noon", one of the people in a small frontier town wants to help the Marshall but discovers that no one else is willing to join him; he has to decide if he will stand with the Marshall or not.

Context

In the ICA New Religious Mode in the arena of knowing one's internal sociality (the life of meditation) the third formal aspect is one's experience of being given existential guidance or encountering the Saints. At the second phenomenological level, this occurs when a person finds his selfhood audited by that which commands his attention.
