Process thinking

Description

This concept refers to thinking in an evolving situation. Rather than the paradigm of a fixed structure in a condition of equilibrium, whose internal and external relations are static or changing in a concrete, step-wise process, human systems are regarded in terms of natural, open learning systems constantly changing with their environment. The former entails a predetermined "good" end goal, treating the system as a machine to be "engineered" from outside. The latter implies positive feedback as an intrinsic characteristic.
