Description

The feeling of pleasure arises in response to some stimulus, whether physical, mental or spiritual. There is the pleasure in the muscular ache after a long walk, there is the pleasure of the hedonist in satisfaction of his desires, the pleasure of the ascetic in controlling his desires. One definition indicates that pleasure accompanies any activity where progress is made towards achieving a desired end.
