Perfectionism [H]
Description
In the sense of completeness or wholeness, perfection may refer to the full development of the individual's human capacities - physical, cognitive, aesthetic, moral, religious. While originally referring to the perfection of the individual, as in the doctrine of Plato and Aristotle, the notion was developed by Hegel to refer to the individual as part of the world spirit, holding that moral perfection is achieved only as part of the social whole.
