Complete man

  • Universal man

Description

The physical, intellectual, emotional and ethical integration of the individual into a complete man is a broad definition of the fundamental aim for education. This pedagogic ideal is to be found throughout history, in almost all countries, among philosophers and moralists, and among most theoreticians and visionaries of education. It has been one of the fundamental themes for humanist thought in all times. It may have been applied imperfectly, but it has been fruitful and helped to inspire many of the noblest educational enterprises.
