Mythical control of human development

  • Psychic control of human development
  • Spiritual control systems

Description

In periods of social crisis, people develop a strong desire for contact with superior minds and beings capable of offering guidance. Human life is to a large degree ruled by imagination and myth. It has been suggested that such levels of human belief are vulnerable to being controlled and conditioned, namely that there is a level of control in society which is a regulator of human development. In this sense mythology rules at a level of social reality over which normal political and intellectual systems have no real power. For example, reports of unidentified flying objects and related encounters can be understood as corresponding to reinforcement schedules in some conditioning process from that level. If UFOs act at the mythic and spiritual level, it is to be expected that they would be almost impossible to act by conventional methods. Such devices can then be understood as a focus for psychic phenomena, evoking a deep emotional reaction in those experiencing them, possibly leading to reinforcement of various salvation myths.
