Mercy (Lila)
- Daya
Description
Responding with compassion to injury to his self-identification, the player surrenders to the divine attribute of mercy. Insight into motivation allows recognition of the game beyond comprehension of himself and the other players. He sees how he may also have injured them. The ego is bypassed in feelings of joy, exultation and cosmic love, so the player is lifted from the second to the eighth, the absolute, plane. He remains at this level until bitten by the "snake" of tamoguna, when he returns to earth to work off past karma.
Context
The 17th state or square on the board of Lila, the game of knowledge, appearing in the second row.
