Lucid dreaming

  • Creative dreaming

Description

In lucid dreaming one is fully aware that one is dreaming while feeling fully awake and conscious. Reasoning and remembering may be clear, one may even change the "plot". One can train one's self to dream lucidly virtually at will, and to indicate to others that one is dreaming lucidly. This can lead to creative dreaming – that is, the shaping of one's own dreams and controlling their subject matter – which is the result of acquired abilities. Intervention may be in the original moment or immediately after waking, to produce an outcome which leaves the dreamer in control. It results in expanded consciousness and a better understanding of one's self and the uniqueness of one's personality.
