Loyal opposition (ICA)

Description

This is the realization that one is taking on the burden of a task and that one is going to do it even if no one else does. It is the moment when a person decides to affirm the covenant he is part of and to take responsibility for it, when he says "yes" to the vision of the covenant and seeks to fulfil that vision within the covenant by transforming its forms and functions.

Context

In the ICA New Religious Mode in the arena of acting one's engagement (the life of obedience) the second formal aspect is embodying equity as the disestablishment to call forth human justice. At the third phenomenological level, this occurs when people willingly embrace their responsibility to society.
