Knowledge of change of lineage (Buddhism)

Having passed through the 9 knowledges of purification by knowledge and vision of the way, there comes knowledge of change of lineage. It is intermediate between purification by knowledge and vision of the way and purification by knowledge and vision, and is counted as insight since it falls in line with insight. The object of this knowledge is nirvana, the signless, no-occurrence, no-formation, cessation. Passing from the lineage, category and plane of the ordinary man he enters those of the noble ones or arahants.
