Journeying within transcendence - prologue

The hymn of the Word revealed in flesh shows not simply creation generally proceeding from God but the individual's specific emergence from the creator, the mystery of existence. The emergence from is also an attraction to, providence is directing the journey of life towards meaning, intelligence and love. The individual self has within its subjectivity the numinous which must be reverenced, and so has all creation. Despite the existence of internal forces still inclined to remain in darkness, the answer to the demand for acceptance of God's presence in the self is "yes".

The first section of St John's Gospel, Chapter I 1-18, is related to a stage in the spiritual journey of the individual.
